We
can carry out impulse force testing of structures, piping, machine
casings and rotors to determine natural frequencies. This is
mainly used to confirm resonance conditions. If structural or
piping resonances are experienced, detuning may be required
to avoid fatigue failures if the source of the excitation cannot
be eliminated or the loading frequency changed.
